As a creative writer for TuneIn, I was tasked with coming up with a custom podcast series for Dole® that emphasized the importance of fresh foods in our daily diets. Through research and collaboration with food experts, I created the bones of a podcast series that explored the versatility of flash-frozen foods. Below is a snapshot of the creative brief.

Each episode was curated to cover a range of topics such as meal prep, flash-freezing techniques, and nutritional value. By weaving Dole’s product offerings into the content, I aimed to establish a strong association between the brand and the concept of “convenience” when eating fresh.

I even collaborated with personalities in the food industry, including Joey Blake, Dana Hunnes, Brooke Williamson, Spike Mendelsohn, Antonia Lofaso, and Nathan Peitso. Their insights and expertise added depth and authenticity to the podcast, further enhancing its value to our audience.

The “Keepin’ It Fresh” podcast served as a testament to my ability to marry creativity with strategic brand messaging, helping to drive brand recognition and affinity.

Snap Intro

Welcome to my brand new podcast “Keepin’ It Fresh” presented by Dole. This time, I’m on a mission to put some pep in your meal prep and keep you looking and feeling fresh all summer long. Tis the season for flash-freezin’!

Dole Script

Today’s episode is brought to you by Dole’s premium selection of organic frozen fruits and vegetables. Dole produce is picked to perfection and flash-frozen at the peak of freshness for ultimate nutrition and flavor. Its all-natural blends are meticulously harvested and carefully sourced from sustainable farms around the world.

Opening

Man, I gotta say, Dole makes it so easy for you. Seriously, all you have to do is toss a fistful of organic frozen fruits and veggies into a blender with some almond milk and you’re golden. Just don’t add any junk, like extra sugar or refined protein powder. That stuff’ll kill ya. But we’ll get into that during Ep. 4 when I sit down with LA Ram’s head dietitian, Joey Blake, to talk about protein shakes. He’s, shall I say, a smoothie operator. See what I did there?

Guest Intro

My first guest is a homegrown SoCal boy who’s been working on his family’s farm since he was in diapers. He’s the executive chef at Farmhouse LA and he’s going to teach you how to stockpile fresh produce from your local farmer’s market so it stays fresh forever. If that’s not keepin’ it fresh, I don’t know what is. Please welcome, Nathan Peitso.
